We were in Maine all of last week. I'll post about that after I sort through the hundreds of photos from the trip.
In other news, today was Chloe's first day of kindergarten. (Everyone else started last week but we were gone--oops.) While she was at school Stella played at Annie's and Fred took a long nap. It was nice and quiet. No my-baby-is-growing-up tears were shed.
We compromised with a blue (instead of pink) Camp Rock backpack. I guess you shouldn't take your kid to the store with you if you want them to have a character/disney-free bag.

My kids backpacks were the only thing I let them pick out this year!! Luckly we ended up with messenger bags. brett's is black and sam'sis pink camo!! yeah no my little pony anymore!
She looks so cute. I cried for first grade as well as kindergarten
Finally is such a great way to label this post
I got ya there. I just dropped Kyla at pre-school! Wierd only havin 2 at home. No tears here either!
You've moved to the next phase of motherhood, having a school aged kid. I remember feeling like I'd joined a new club.
I let the kids pick out their lunch boxes/bags and it was nearly impossible to find a girl one with out Princesses or Hannah Montana. Eliza was worried about being teased, so she finally tracked down a "cool" purple with no characters.
Congrats Chloe. FINALLY!!!!
So how did it go? Does she love kindergarten?
You always get the best photos! Chloe looked so stinkin' cute on her first day of school. I'm glad I'll get to see your cute kids grown up through your blog.
Enjoy kindergarten. It's such a great transition for kids and moms. Chloe looks so cute and ready to conquer the big school!
