We're Going For It

While we were in Boise a voice came to me saying, "This is the place." So we're moving.
Or else we're just willing to risk it for the adventure.

--Let me interrupt this post to inform you that I haven't thought this through and it will most likely be filled will ramblings. Continue if you so desire.--

We spent our weekend driving around Boise trying to figure out where we would want to buy a house. In all our driving we only saw 3 LDS chapels. I can see more than that from our house here. I thought that since they are neighbors to Utah and they have a BYU that there would be lots of Mormons. Not so. I'm not sure if anyone at Dan's work is a member. Most of them have one or two kids and will have no more.

Next thought: Chloe is five. This will be the 3rd state she's lived in. And it's likely we'll move again. Is it bad parenting to move your kids around?

Those of you that are into mountain biking, kayaking, climbing--outdoorsy stuff--know that Boise is a cool place to live. We are excited about this. As you know, Dan is into biking. This was the tipping point:

I'm going to stop here and make individual posts for each of my thoughts.

You are so funny. I'm sure you guys will love it so much you'll never want to leave. All that outdoorsie stuff, you'll be right at home.

By the time I was 5 I lived in 5 states. I went to 3 elementary schools. And moved a total of 18 times before I graduated from High School. My only advice would be to just settle someplace by the time she's in middle school.

How exciting! You will be missed! We'll for sure have to stop in and see your new digs when we pass through this July. Can Fred and Ava still get married? :)

Oh man, I can never allow Tye to see that Cycle Park site or he will make me move there for sure.
few Mormons = Dan's getting called as the Bishop the week after you move in. You ready for that? Maybe you should reconsider St. George...

I hope moving a lot doesn't signify bad parenting. In my head it doesn't matter how many moves you make until the kids are in school.
We are trying to decide on our next move also. It'll be a compromise.
Good luck in Boise!

That is very cool! We moved A LOT when i was a kid and I really liked it, until I was in High School. Plus, maybe now you can get Stella her pink couch? ;)

I with the movers- I went to 8 schools before I graduated from 12th grade. It was hard, but I have friends all over the world, and hopefully more open to things outside of Utah. I am sure we will be up to visit- how far a drive should I estimate???
